Medical terminology
Medical terminology is language used to describe the components, processes, conditions, medical procedures and treatments of the human body. In the English language, medical terminology generally has a regular morphology; the same prefixes and suffixes are used to add meanings to different roots. The root of a term often refers to an organ, tissue, or condition, and medical roots and affixes are often derived from Ancient Greek or Latin (particularly Neo-Latin).
